Infusion Therapy
SeniorSelect’s Infusion Therapy services enable patients to receive I.V. therapy in the comfort of their own homes. Patient and caregiver education/participation is a key part of our infusion therapy program, encouraging positive results from this physician-prescribed therapy.
Possible Situations Requiring IV Therapy:
- Infection such as Lyme’s disease, cellulitis, pneumonia, sepsis, sinusitis
- Auto-immune disorders such as AIDS, multiple sclerosis, or lupus
- Radiation enteritis
- Gastrointestinal or urinary disorders
- End-stage Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
- Dehydration
Skilled Services Available:
- Patient training about IV procedures, prescribed medications, diet and disease
- Insertion of venous access devices such as peripheral catheters
- Administration of medications such as chemotherapy or blood products
- Antibiotic, antiviral, and antifungal therapy
- Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
- Hydration therapy
